Applying to the Expert Verification network

This is the one role on Veriroo you cannot switch on yourself. Artist tools are instant; Expert access is reviewed first, because the whole value of an independent opinion is that it was not self awarded.

What the application asks for

It is short, and you can start it as a guest and sign in at the point you submit.

• Your professional name, and an organisation if you have one
• Country and years of experience
• Your specialisms, chosen from a list or typed in yourself
• Which verification methods you offer: remote video, shipping, drop-in or call-out
• A website, LinkedIn or primary reference, and a short reference summary
• Why we should approve you

You confirm the information is accurate, and you accept that approval is subject to review before access is activated.

What it gives you

A public profile showing your credentials, specialisms and region served, listed in the directory that collectors and artists search by specialism, region and method. It does not expose private customer data or fingerprint notes.

And jobs. Someone requesting verification chooses a verifier and submits a request to them directly.

How a job actually runs

1. A request arrives and you have 72 hours to accept or decline.
2. If you accept, the requester is prompted to pay. Their card is authorised, not charged.
3. The inspection happens by whichever method was agreed.
4. You submit your report: an outcome, your notes and any supporting evidence.
5. A 48 hour review window opens for the requester.
6. On release, either by them or automatically after 48 hours, payment is captured and your fee transfers to your Stripe account. Arrival usually takes one to three business days.

You must have a connected Stripe payout account before you can accept any job. That is set up at Verifier Profile, then Payout.

The outcomes you can give

Authentic, Likely authentic, Inconclusive, Not authentic, or Condition report only. The outcome is your independent professional opinion and it is recorded permanently on the item's provenance once released.

Inconclusive is a real answer, not a failure. It does not mean the item is fake, it means the available evidence did not support a conclusion, and it is recorded as such. A second verification can then be requested: a new job, a new fee, and it must go to a different verifier, who is told a prior attempt was inconclusive.

What the role does not let you do

Your verifier permissions apply only inside the jobs assigned to you. The marketplace is public and you can browse it like anyone else, but you cannot take verifier actions on items you are not assigned to, and you are expected to avoid conflicts of interest.

Veriroo does not guarantee or endorse the outcome of any verification. We record your report permanently and take no position on it. That cuts both ways, and it is what makes the record worth reading.

On disputes

During the 48 hour window a requester can raise a dispute, which pauses payment until both parties agree to resume or cancel. Disputes are for process problems only, such as required evidence missing or an inspection not carried out as agreed. Your professional opinion and your outcome cannot be disputed.
