New — commissions now open

Commission an artist without crossing your fingers.

Agree the work, and the money is held safely until it’s done. The artist evidences progress as they go. You approve each stage. Nobody has to trust a stranger with a bank transfer.

Find an artist whose work you want and send them your brief. They set the commission up with you, and you’ll get an email to review the price, schedule and timeline before you pay anything. Questions? support@veriroo.com

We’re new, and we’d rather say so.

Veriroo launched this year. We’re not pretending to be a busy marketplace — we’re building the part that actually matters first: a way for a collector and an artist to work together safely, with a permanent record of the piece. If you’re here early, you’re shaping it.

The awkward part

One transaction, two people taking a risk

If you’re commissioning

You find an artist you love. Then comes the awkward part: they want a deposit, you’ve never met, and there’s no comeback if the piece never arrives or looks nothing like the brief.

If you’re the artist

You’ve been burned before. Half up front, then silence. Or endless revisions with no payment until the client is “happy”. You want to make the work, not chase invoices.

How it works

Five steps, and the money never moves blind

1

Agree the piece.

Brief, price, timeline and payment schedule — written down, both sides seeing the same thing.

2

Funds are held.

The collector pays the full amount up front and Stripe holds it. The artist knows the money exists; the collector still has it protected.

3

The artist works, and shows it.

Progress photographs as the piece develops — the same shots most artists already take. These become the work’s creation record.

4

You approve each stage, funds release.

No lump-sum gamble at either end.

5

The piece arrives with its whole story.

A living certificate of authenticity, the creation trail, and a provenance record that travels with it to every future owner.

Choose how it’s paid

You agree the schedule before anything is paid

Full on delivery
The whole amount released once delivery is confirmed.
Split 50 / 50
Half when you approve the first progress update, half on delivery.
Milestones 20 / 20 / 20 / 40
For longer pieces — 20% on each of the first three updates, 40% on completion.

Commissions start at £30. The artist receives the agreed price less Veriroo’s 5% platform fee and Stripe’s processing fees. If the artist ships the piece, delivery is agreed up front and charged on top of the agreed price.

Both ends of the same deal

What each side actually gets

For collectors

  • Your money is held until you approve each stage
  • Watch the piece being made, not just the final reveal
  • Ask for a correction at any stage — nothing is paid out until you’re happy
  • The finished work arrives with a verifiable record, not a scrap of paper
  • Add it straight to your collection, valued and tracked

For artists

  • Paid on milestones, not on “when I’m happy”
  • The full amount is secured before you start work
  • Your personal showcase page is how collectors find and approach you Included with Artist Pro.
  • The work-in-progress shots you already take become the piece’s provenance
  • Set your resale royalty once and earn automatically on every future sale
  • Free to join. No card needed. Getting paid needs a Stripe payout account — marketplace payouts aren’t available in every country yet.

Every commission builds a dated, verifiable record as the work is made — not reconstructed afterwards from memory and receipts. That record is what makes the piece provable later, and it’s why a commission on Veriroo is worth more than the same commission arranged over DMs.

Want a Certificate of Authenticity?

Add it before the piece is finished and changes hands. The certificate names the artist as maker and you as owner, and travels with the work to every future owner — but it can’t be added retrospectively once the piece has left the artist.

Beyond the commission

Your collection lives here too

Add pieces you already own, record what you paid, get an indicative valuation, and keep a dated record of what your collection is worth over time. If something is ever lost or stolen, flag it — the status is stamped permanently onto the piece’s record, giving you a record and supporting evidence you can take to your insurer.

Start one commission. See how it should work.

Free to join, no card needed. Veriroo takes 5% of the agreed price when a commission completes.
