A credentialled verifier examines the work, the provenance record, and the listing details, and issues a formal report. This report is permanently added to the provenance chain, and the trust tier upgrades automatically to reflect the new verification status.

What happens after the sale

On Veriroo, a completed sale is not the end of the provenance process — it is another event in it. When ownership transfers, the Certificate of Authenticity updates automatically. The new owner’s details are recorded on the provenance chain. The original artist’s resale royalty, if any, is deducted and paid automatically. And the full history — everything that happened before this sale — carries forward to the new owner intact.
