What is Veriroo?
Veriroo is a UK online art marketplace and provenance platform for artists, collectors and independent art experts. Artists sell original work, signed limited editions and open prints from their own shop, with prints made and posted by a fine art lab near the buyer. Every piece registered on Veriroo gets a living provenance record: how it was made, who has owned it, what it is worth and how it has been verified. The record moves with the work when it is sold. Pieces can carry a Certificate of Authenticity linked to that record by QR code, can be checked by an independent expert, and can earn the artist an automatic royalty each time they resell through Veriroo. Veriroo is run by Cardaroo Holdings Ltd, registered in England and Wales.

What can artists do on Veriroo?
Sell originals, run numbered limited editions with a certificate on every number, and switch on open prints that are printed and posted for them. Each artist gets a shop with its own link and QR code, a watermarked gallery, and a record for every piece from the first work in progress photo. When a piece resells through Veriroo, the royalty the artist set is paid automatically.
What can collectors do on Veriroo?
Buy original art, editions and prints with payment held in escrow until the work arrives. Keep every piece they own in one place with its history, what they paid and what it is worth. Transfer a piece with its record when they sell or gift it.
What is a provenance record?
The documented history of an artwork: who made it, when, how, and everyone who has owned it since. On Veriroo it is a living record. New events such as a sale, an exhibition or an expert inspection are added as they happen, and the record moves with the work.

What is a Certificate of Authenticity on Veriroo?
A certificate linked to the artwork’s live record by QR code. Scanning it shows the current owner, history and trust tier, so it cannot drift out of date the way a paper certificate can.

What do the trust tiers mean?
Every piece shows a visible tier, from recorded by the artist, through a complete creation trail with a certificate, to verified by an independent expert. Each tier says exactly what was checked and by whom.

Who verifies artwork on Veriroo?
Independent experts who set their own fees and are not Veriroo employees. Verification can be remote, in person or by shipping, and the result is added to the artwork’s record.

How do resale royalties work?
The artist sets a percentage when registering a work. The first buyer accepts it once, and from then on it is fixed. It is paid automatically on every resale through Veriroo, with no claim or paperwork.
